Saving Time and Money, and a Bonus!

Yeah, that’s something we are all trying to do – all the time, right? It’s not that easy, but I figure every little bit helps. So to that end, I am offering some of my patterns (and more to come) from my Etsy shop hand-drawn on red dot tracing fabric instead of paper, for the same cost as a paper pattern. I hope it will be more convenient for you, save you a step in the pattern transfer process, and provide you with a pattern that you can transfer and hook more than once. I started by listing some of my smaller patterns (18×24 inches) and I plan to add a few each week, including some of the antiqueAntique Hearts - primitive rug hooking pattern adaptations that I used for the Hook-a-Month projects, which are larger rug patterns. If you would like to win a pattern of your choice drawn on red dot tracer, just leave a comment after this blog post, and then click through and Like my Facebook Fan page. I will randomly choose a winner on April 30 who can go to my website Patterns page and choose their winning pattern. (If you already LIKE my Facebook Fan page, leave a comment there instead.)

If you follow me at Facebook, you may have seen the Etsy Treasury I created, filled with fiber art. I went for Spring colors and textures . . . if you missed it, you can see it HERE. There are some incredible Etsians creating fabulous art with fiber. If you purchase fibers for your creations, try to support indie artists; they have a lot to offer!

Okay, that’s it for today — have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter everyone. Be sure to leave a comment and a Facebook LIKE to get your name in the hopper for a free pattern of your choice!

  1. Love the new idea you have of putting the patterns on red dot. Will definitely help cut down a step and that was one I wasn’t so good at doing. Would love to win one of your beautiful patterns like that so please count me in!

You are already one of my favorite shops on Etsy, but I hadn’t added you to Facebook. I’ll take care of that right now.

Thanks and hope my name comes out on top on April 30th!

  5. Saving a step in rug hooking would be awesome. I’ve never tried the red dot tracing paper before. I have always either bought a drawn pattern, free handed or enlarged a pattern with a printer and went from there. It definitely slows the process. I’ve have been a following you around way before facebook was launched, lol! Love your designs, it would be an honor to win one of your patterns on red dot.
